OK, moving right along. Many people when it comes to internet marketing promotion believe the key to success is too simply to get more traffic to their sites. As a result, they tend to generate generic traffic in the hopes that their blogs will turn that traffic into real live clients. Unfortunately sooner or later they realise that they are not getting the results they hoped for.
If you are only getting quantity traffic and not quality traffic to your blog you will not be see the results you hoped for with your internet marketing promotion. So how do we get that quality traffic? That is a great question and this is the three step process that I use to make sure I am not just getting loads of traffic to my site, but more importantly, it is qualified traffic.
STEP 1: Determine who your target market is. Targeting a specific market does not mean that you have to exclude people that do not fit your criteria from buying from you. Rather, target marketing allows you to focus your marketing and brand message on a specific market that is more likely to buy from you than other markets. This is a much more efficient and effective way to reach potential clients and generate business.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been critiquing some pretty good copy. Very well-written and compelling. But if the conversion rate is low (hence, the reason why I was hired to conduct a critique consultation), it’s because these sales letters do not target the right audience for the offer, or the author and the copy fail to connect with their readers. Researching your customer in depth is vital to the success of your copy. It’s not only an important component of targeting and qualifying the best prospect for your offer, but also an effective way to discover new ideas, different angles, captivating storylines, unsought benefits, and appropriate length and language of your copy that will convert more.
STEP 3: capture your leads information. With this information, your autoresponder (if you don’t already have an autoresponder, be sure to ask me about them) can maintain a list so that you can market similar products to them on a regular basis. A list is a great way to keep your business going and more importantly, growing.
3: Collect the details of those who visit your blog. People will be a lot more willing to leave their details if you offer them something of value in exchange for their details for example a special report or DVD about how to literally save thousands when buying their next home. The other key is to keep it short. If you make the form too long, people will simply not fill it out, or will skip over large sections of it.
In my next article I will go over how to follow up with these people and explain how to maximise your marketing efforts. Or if you prefer, you can read the article right now by simply clicking on this link http://bit.ly/d4KRnY if that doesn’t work, simply cut and paste it to your web browser.
